1. Commitment to Journalist Confidentiality
The World Journalists Federation (WJF) recognizes the critical importance of privacy and personal safety for journalists, media workers, and correspondents. We collect only essential information required for official press accreditation, digital card issuance, and union membership verification.
2. Information We Collect
- Member Identity Data: Full name, passport photograph, CNIC/national ID number, and news organization affiliation.
- Verification Credentials: Editor recommendation letters, published article portfolios, and union chapter membership records.
- Digital Logins & Security: Account credentials, encrypted session tokens, and press card QR code validation logs.
3. How Data is Used & Protected
Personal data is strictly utilized to process press card applications, issue tamper-proof digital QR credentials, and verify identity during press accreditation requests. WJF never sells, leases, or shares member data with unauthorized third parties.
4. Data Rights & Contact
