Terms of Accreditation & Service

Governing rules for WJF Membership, Press Credentials, and Journalistic Ethics

1. Eligibility for WJF Press Cards

WJF Press Cards are granted exclusively to active, full-time, or recognized freelance media professionals who meet WJF professional standards and belong to an affiliated Union of Journalists. Applications undergo multi-tier verification prior to card issuance.

2. Journalist Code of Ethics

All cardholders agree to abide by the WJF International Code of Ethics:

Truthfulness, accuracy, and objective verification of facts before publication.
Respect for privacy, human dignity, and protection of confidential news sources.
Rejection of bribery, hate speech, plagiarism, or malicious disinformation.

3. Card Validity & Renewal

WJF Press Cards remain valid for a period of up to 2 years from issuance. WJF reserves the right to revoke credentials in cases of credential misuse, fraudulent representation, or gross violation of ethical standards.
